Aminu is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, former Manager with KPMG Professional Services in Nigeria and a lawmaker. He holds Master’s Degree in Treasury Management and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with Upper Second Class Division both from Bayero University, Kano. He is also a Professional member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria. Aminu is a Certified Fraud Examiner of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Austin, USA. Aminu hold certificate in Forensic Auditing and Account from United Kingdom under the sponsorship of United Nation, attended conferences on Global Corruption organised by UN at Bangkok, Thailand and participated at International Forensic 1 Course for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMA) sponsored by KPMG.

His work experience include Internal Audit Assistant (NYSC) at Liquefied Natural Gas Company (NLNG), he then joined Sigma Securities Ltd (Member of Nigerian Stock Exchange) as Assistant Manager Finance and Administration, pioneer Accountant of newly established Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) where he pioneered the establishment of its Accounts Unit and was one of three committee members that drafted the commission’s initial budget in 2004. Aminu attended the officers course 1 of the commission and investigated many high profile cases at EFCC.

Hon. Aminu worked at African Petroleum Plc as the Company Budget Accountant, KPMG Professional Services, as Manager Forensic Service and Elected Member Adamawa State House of Assembly for a term of 4 years before joining Nasiru Muhammad & Company (Chartered Accountants) as consultant in 2016.
