Senatorial Election Victory: Aminu Iya Abbas Campaign Organisation Appreciates Adamawa Central People
The Director General Aminu Iya Abbas Campaign Organisation, Alhaji Usman Muhammad Kaura has commended the people of Adamawa Central Senatorial District for their overwhelming support during the election held on Saturday 25th February 2023 that produced Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas as Senator-Elect.
The Iya Abbas Campaign DG also extends the appreciation of the organisation to the main steering committee, Directors, Coordinators, Main Stream and Social Media among others in Yola weekend.
Usman Kaura who made commendation during a meeting organized by the organisation to appreciate all the stakeholders involved said, Aminu’s election is a victory for all the people of the central senatoial zone
The Campaign Organization also congratulated the Senator Elect, Rt Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, for the resounding success he recorded at the poll, which it described as a proof of his acceptability across zone.
He disclosed that the Senator elect and the entire campaign team are full of appreciation for the PDP leadership at all levels, structure, supporters, political pressure groups, and indeed all segments of the zone for believing in Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas’s capacity to represent the central zone.
In his remarks, the director research, planing and strategy of the campaign organisation Alhaji Ahmed Musa Gaude while congratulating the senator elect on his victory described him as man with good record of quality representation while in the state assembly.
Speaking on behalf of 27 coordinators from various local governments across the zone Mr. Nathan Samuel and Madam Kwata while congratulating the senator elect and the entire campaign train charged them to work towards ensuring an acceptable representation as part of fulfilment of campaign promises.
Speaking separately, Alhaji Bamanga Yahya Nuhu Fufore and Alhaji Kawu Gombi who saluted the campaign organisation and other stakeholders for job well done said the election of Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas is a blessing to the people of Adamawa central considering his experience as presiding officer of the 7th Assembly.
Addressing the gathering, the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly and Senator elect eulogised the contributions of his campaign organisation led by the Director General Alhaji Usman Kaura for the role they have played towards his victory.
The Senator elect also reiterated his readiness to work with the people of the central zone irrespective of their party affiliation to better their lot through a purposeful representation without leaving anyone behind
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had last week declared Abbas, the PDP’s candidate, winner of the February 25th Senatorial election in Adamawa after polling 145, 879 votes to defeat his closest challenger and Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako, who polled 118,555 votes.
